Over the years, Blue Sky has received international recognition for excellence in design, and for our documentation of the unique regional architecture of our area.
In the fall of 1984, with the assistance of the Canada Council and the Council of Forest Industries we participated in the IBA (International Building Exhibition) in Berlin, lecturing in Berlin and at several architectural schools in Germany and in England. Our exhibition then traveled throughout Europe for two years, visiting Italy, Germany, Poland, and Holland.
On the return of our work from Europe, we organized "the Hornby Talks" a series illustrated lectures on regional architectural issues. And in 1987 exhibited our work in Victoria at the North Park Gallery in a show called "Island Immersion, the Art and Architecture of Hornby Island."
The Vancouver League for studies in Architecture and the Environment together with Alcan has sponsored an exhibition of our work at the downtown campus of Simon Fraser University, Harbour Centre, Gallery Lounge October 1989.
