Michael McNamara
Michael was born in 1944 in Iowa City, Iowa, studied art and sociology at DePauw University 1962 to 1965, architecture and sociology at the University of Oregon from 1965 to 1968, and architecture at the Architectural Association, London, England in 1978 and 1979.
He served his architectural apprenticeship with Campbell/Yost and Partners in Portland, Oregon, and with Arthur Erickson and McCarter/Nairne Architects in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has lived on Hornby Island since 1971, and formed Blue Sky Design in 1973. His design work has been widely recognized and he has been instructing Design/Build courses through U.B.C. School of Architecture since 1996
Tim Wyndham
Tim was born and raised in West Vancouver, and spent childhood holidays on Hornby with his family throughout the 1960's. Tim is an enthusiastic skier and windsurfer. He lived for years at Whistler pursuing his interest in skiing and ski racing and began his building career there. On winter weekends you can still find Tim setting up and promoting ski races at our local ski area, Mt. Washington. Tim moved to Hornby Island with his wife Shirley in 1974. He has been a partner in Blue Sky Design since 1978, and takes responsibility for all our construction projects.
